  • Is the Online Bill Pay Service safe, secure and reliable?
  • Our Online Bill Pay Service utilizes state-of-the-art security, using the following methods to ensure your protection:

    • SSL: The Online Bill Pay Service uses SSL (secure sockets layer) which ensures that your connection and the information are safe from outside inspection.
    • Encryption: The Online Bill Pay Service uses 128-bit encryption to make your information unreadable as it passes over the Internet.

    Automatic Sign Out: In addition, the Online Bill Pay Service automatically logs you out of a session if you are inactive longer than a pre-defined period of time (usually 10 minutes), and you are required to log in again to continue with the session. It is best if you log out immediately after making your payment.

  • Why did my Online Bill Pay session timeout?
  • We provide state-of-the-art security on our website, so as a means of protecting your privacy, we have set the system to timeout if there is no activity for at least 10 minutes.

  • What's the difference between a Standard Payment and a Rush Payment?
  • Standard Payment is free, but requires up to 2 business days to process your payment. Rush Payment Service facilitates same-day payments, but there is a charge for this service. You can access these options from any of the following pages: Account Overview, Statements, Payments pages.

  • How do I cancel the Online Bill Pay Service?
    • Exit this FAQ page.
    • Go to the Make a Payment box that is located in the middle of the Payments page and click the "Unenroll Bill Pay" link.
    • Click the "Cancel Online Bill Pay Service" link.
    • Your service will be immediately deactivated. You will need to re-enroll if you would like to use the service in the future.

    When you cancel your service:

    • Any payments made using the Online Bill Payment Service with a "Scheduled" status will be cancelled.
    • Any payments with an "In Process" status will be paid from your Bank Account on the date you requested.

  • How do I check the status of my Online Bill Pay payment?

Edit/Cancel Payments

  • Can I cancel my scheduled recurring payments?
  • Yes, you may cancel any recurring payment that has a "scheduled" status at any time. You will then need to log in and pay your Account with the Standard Payment service each month.

  • How do I change or cancel payments?
    • Exit this FAQ page.
    • Go to the Make a Payment box that is located in the middle of the Payments page and click the "Edit/Cancel a Payment" link.
    • To change or cancel a payment, click Edit or Cancel, next to the payment shown. Only payments made using the Online Bill Payment Service with a "Scheduled" status can be edited or cancelled.
    Status Definition
      Scheduled   Payment will be received on the date shown.
      In Process   Payment is being processed and will be received on the
      date shown. This payment cannot be edited or cancelled.
      Processed   Payment was successfully processed on the date shown.
      Cancelled   This payment was cancelled. It will not be processed.
      Unsuccessful   We were unable to deduct your payment from the bank Account
      you provided.

  • What is the cut-off time to edit/delete a standard payment?
  • The deadlines to cancel a Standard online payment are:

    • Payments requested before 4:00 p.m. ET Monday-Thursday, must be cancelled on that same day before 4:00 p.m. ET.
    • Payments requested anytime on Friday, Saturday and up to noon ET on Sunday, must be cancelled by noon ET on Sunday.
    • Payments requested after 4:00 p.m. ET Monday-Wednesday, must be cancelled by 4:00 p.m. ET the next business day.
    • Payments requested after 4:00 p.m. ET Thursday-noon ET on Sunday, must be cancelled by noon ET on Sunday.

  • What is the cut-off time to edit/delete a rush payment?
  • The cut-off time for edit/delete a rush payment is 11:59pm Eastern Time on the day your scheduled your payment. You will not be able to make any change to your rush payment after 11:59pm EST.

    *Standard and Recurring payments are not processed on New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas.

  • Can I schedule a payment to post on a weekend or a holiday?
  • Standard Payments can only be processed on a business day. If you schedule your payment to be processed on a weekend or holiday, the system will automatically adjust the date to the preceding business day (See chart above). If you are running late, to avoid a late fee, please consider using the Rush Payment Service (Rush Payment can be requested 365 days a year including weekends and holidays).
